Subcommittee participation is open to relevant professionals and community members.

Training Subcommittee
The Training Subcommittee aims to strengthen task force capacity for human trafficking training across Cook County and the Northern District. Steering committee and subcommittee members can become a task force trainer by attending a task force train-the-trainer event.
Community members and community-based organizations interested in learning more about human trafficking can request a training here.

Victim Services Subcommittee
The Victim Services Subcommittee aims to enhance the capacity of professionals and key task force stakeholders to respond to the multiple needs of victims of trafficking across Cook County and the Northern District. This subcommittee has been instrumental in the development of a Coordinated Service Referral Network to address a wide variety of service needs and has convened three housing summits to address the gap in housing options for survivors.

Labor Trafficking Subcommittee
The Labor Trafficking Subcommittee aims to strengthen task force capacity to identify and serve labor trafficking victims across Cook County and the Northern District. This subcommittee has conducted outreach to worker's rights organizations, developed standardized messaging as it pertains to education around labor trafficking, fostered relationships between worker's rights organizations, social service providers, and law enforcement, and analyzed the existing service options in Cook County that specifically address the needs of labor trafficking victims.

Child Trafficking Subcommittee
The Child Trafficking Subcommittee (CTS) aims to increase the efficacy of identification and response to youth survivors of human trafficking through enhanced multi-disciplinary collaboration across Cook County and the Northern District. This subcommittee has two working groups that address projects related to MDT investigations and direct services.

G.A.T.E Subcommittee
G.A.T.E. is a group of HT survivors who inform and collaborate with CCHTTF. We aim to offer a more sound perspective on matters surrounding anti-human trafficking best practices. As we are a growing subcommittee, we would like to extend a welcome to potential new members.

Healthcare Subcommittee
The Healthcare Subcommittee aims to better identify and serve survivors of human trafficking (sex and labor) in all healthcare settings (hospitals, urgent care centers, outpatient clinics, federally qualified health centers, etc) through training, protocol development, advocacy, technical assistance, the sharing of best practices and referral mechanisms to service providers of the task force.

LGBTQ Subcommittee
The LGBTQ Subcommittee aims to enhance task force capacity to identify and provide appropriate services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer victims of human trafficking. Current goals include LGBTQ sensitivity trainings and HT trainings for LGBTQ service providers.
