Inspired by existing materials created by MOSAIC to depict domestic work, farm labor and sex trafficking, the Training Subcommittee enlisted in the help of an illustrator to create specific comic-book-like illustrations depicting human trafficking in a variety of other venues, such as in nail salons, restaurants, massage businesses and traveling sales crews.
The following illustrations depict human trafficking in:
a. Nail Salons
b. Massage Businesses
c. Restaurants
The scenarios depicted in these situations attempt to portray common ways in which folks can be trafficked in these settings and are free of any language so that they can be interpreted visually by folks with any literacy level. Feedback for all of these materials was provided by survivors of human trafficking or workers who work within these settings.
